ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is Aira (or Hamo). I am a freelance illustrator and comic artist based in New Jersey, US. I have a B.S in Psychology and am generally self-taught for my art. 

 

Like most of these stories, my love for art began at a young age. I fell in love with animation, manga, and the films of Studio Ghibli. I wanted to create stories and worlds that looked and felt like what I saw. I began drawing on anything and anything I could get my hands on. My parents realized my talents and passion, thus supporting me to grow as the artist I am now. Comics allowed me to express myself fully through writing and visuals, and served as an outlet during my darker days.

I have dreams, and I am willing to make them happen.
